This is just a quick little entry about a fantastic denim brand I want to make sure you all know about that's local.
The brand is called Agave and it's completely designed and manufactured right here in River City. Well, not actually right here, it's based in Ridgefield WA, but still, that's like practically right here. The head of the label and designer, Jeff Shafer, started the brand in LA like so many other denim brands, but was tired of the scene and wanted to give it a fresh take. So, he moved himself, the design studio and the production factory all up to the Northwest and hasn't regretted it one bit. I think that's a bold move, and one that should be supported. The best is Agave is still a super hot brand, and only getting hotter. It's carried in Nordstrom's, Mario's, Barney's and a ton of other places all around the country. What's even better is Jeff is opening an amazing outlet store this weekend that's actually going to have real outlet pricing, up to 80% off people.
The outlet is opening this saturday and it's going to be a big to do. They are throwing open all of their corporate space for people to come in and check out how cool this company is. Jeff and his team have been kind enough to invite me, so I'll totally be there, getting a tour, shopping the jeans, and taking tons of pics for another update. You should all go! Details: As part of the launch, Agave will open up its entire Agave Design Studio and warehouse giving the public unprecedented access to its creative and funky design space and a unique insider’s perspective on how its products are created. In addition, activities for kids, free food, drink and live music will be supplied.
Extra Deals: The event will also play host to a denim exchange. For every person that brings in a pair of clean used jeans for donation to local and regional homeless shelters will receive an extra 10% discount on merchandise from the outlet store.
