Sirlennox Advice:

For this week's advice I decided to re-work the awful suit situation from the courthouse square. The real tragedy about this look is that this girl is perfectly adorable, she's just presenting herself all wrong.  Instead of playing up her main fabulous attribute, her petite frame, she instead wears a wide blazer and oddly cropped pants, making her look short and squat.  Who would do that?  Well, I'm here to help out.  Check out the options below.  I created four different looks with varying degrees of formality depending on how strict the work place is.  And you'll notice I didn't do any full suits.  I'm a big fan of breaking things up and mixing and matching.  Not only is this more modern and visually stimulating, it also helps you get tons more options out of your wardrobe.  Also fit is definitely addressed in each look, especially in the blazer.  If you're more petite ,like this girl, try to keep your blazers fitted and cropped.  It will elongate you.  Unfortunately examiner has a photo limit on each post, so this will have to be split into two parts.  Make sure to check them both out!

Here's the reference:

Option 1: Blazer with Jeans- Since the jeans instantly make this look more casual, I balanced that with a crisp white shirt and a sensible buckle pump.

Option 2: Blazer with Skirt- This look is a bit more sober, so I jazzed up the top with some color and flounce, and put a slightly sassier heel.

Option 3: Blazer with Pants- I'm a fan of white, and not just in summer.  The pants are perfectly fitted  with a smart vertical crease down the front, making them very elongating, so I figured this look could pull off flats.

Option 4: Blazer with Dress- Dresses for work are under utilized.  Here's a totally practical way to pull it off.
