Has anyone else heard this? Apparently the casting director for the Fall 2010 PRADA Collection decided to take a stand against the emaciated models who have been commanding the catwalks for many years now, and cast meatier, relatively speaking, Victoria's Secret supermodels at the last minute.
This is huge (pun slightly intended) news since PRADA is extremely influential, and of course my favorite-est designer ever. Purportedly they cast Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes and Isabeli Fontana.
The funny thing about this to me is that PRADA was one of the first to cast super skinny girls back in the day, which of course influenced many others to follow suit. Now they are staging an about face. Hopefully this notion will become the new trend everyone else emulates.
